"It started with boredom and a basement. Now I can't imagine stopping."

Craftsmen of Handcrafted Wood Art

I'll be honest with you — I didn't grow up dreaming of becoming a woodworker. I took a woodworking class in high school, made a walnut bowl, and thought it was pretty cool. That was it. Years later, I found myself with a basement, some time on my hands, and absolutely nothing to do. That's dangerous for someone like me.

So I started building. My wife had been wanting a nice jewelry box, so that became my first real project. I figured out pretty quickly that I had no idea what I was doing — and that I loved every minute of it. When the box was done, she kept it. That felt like a win.

The jewelry box turned into a kitchen table. I built it out of pine with an epoxy river running through the middle. It wasn't perfect — my wife won't let me replace it with hardwood, which is honestly a little embarrassing — but it's also the most honest story I can tell you about where I started.

Since then I've made humidors for friends, dart boards for charity events through my motorcycle club, decorative pieces, and more. Five years of tinkering has taught me more than I ever expected — mostly that wood has its own personality and every project is a conversation.

Everything I make is built by hand, one piece at a time, in my basement workshop in Clearfield, Utah. I don't mass-produce anything. I don't keep inventory. When you work with me, I'm building something specifically for you.

If you've got an idea in your head — something you've been wanting for your home, a gift for someone special, a piece that fits a space nothing else will fill — let's talk about it. That's exactly the kind of work I enjoy most.
